Default RE: wal-mart guns

People used to think one inch groups were extraordinary. Nowadays it’s common, even from moderately inexpensive guns.
Amen, today you can get a lowly Savage bolt action rifle with the new accutrigger for less than 400 dollars that will shoot circles around 90 percent the top end guns produced by all the gun companies 50 years ago.

Last time I looked, Gander Mountain was selling BSA scopes. They’re made in China. I also have a Winchester knife made in China. I suggest you take a look at your shoes. You’re so oblivious; many items are made in foreign countries.
Exactly. To single Wal-Mart out for selling these type products is a tad unfair. To go even further and suggest that these companies wouldn't be making these products in foreign countries if it weren't for Wal-Mart is just a naive ridiculous fantasy. I wish someone would kindly point out the large nation wide retailer that doesn't handle any foreign goods. Cabelas? Gander Mountain? Bass Pro Shop? Ha, I don't think so. Even that quaint little mom and pop store down on the corner is packed to the gills with made in china goods.

The manufacturer sets quality control. Wally World has nothing to do with it.
Thank you. I promise you the Remington model 710 rifle would still exist even if Wal-Mart didn't. The Remington model 742 woodmaster existed before wally world and it was a P.O.S. Whose fault was that?

The Wally World near me has a special order gun book at the sporting goods counter.
A little known fact that I have also mentioned a couple of times. Most people would be quite shocked at what they can order and at what price.

Man you guys are hard on Oldelkhunter .
Go back and check who became rude and started flinging unprovoked personal insults first.

Once WM runs everyone else out of business, what will stop them from raking people over the coals with higher prices.
People refusing to pay it. Free market economy. They are other large chain stores out there that would pounce in a second if Wal-Mart jacked up it's prices too high. And I just don't understand why Wal-Mart is the only company that catches this heat. What effect do you think a Lowes or Home Depot has on the small hardware stores in a town they come to? Yet I don't hear people saying, "oh my God what will we do when Lowes is the only place we can buy a hammer." You talk about Wal-Mart hurting Winn Dixie but you do realize that Winn Dixie is a large chain store as well. There were even smaller local owned grocery stores when comapanies like Winn Dixie, Delchamps, Super Foods, Food World and Piggly Wiggly first moved to town. What effect do you think these chain store had on those little mom and pop outfits? They crushed them. Why don't people hate all the stores I just listed for putting those mom and pop stores out of business?
