Jen, where is 4-38? I lived between 4-22 and 4-23 near Golden for a few years and never hunted them but seen my share while back packin in the Bug a boos. Somewhere between Golden and Radium is some Crown land in Glacier and a client had wounded a bear and it ran off in the bush. Instead of the 2 guides going back to camp and retreive the dogs, they elected to persue it through the bush. Not too smart as they both were mauled to death.
I had 3 cubs and a sow here on the property last year, and they were terrorizing the neighborhood. The sow had charged two or three vechiles coming up my road and at one time the sow wouldn't let a lady out of her house. The FWP's brought three traps up but never caught them. I have very much respect for them and when I'm slipping through the bush prior to light being nice and quiet, you can bet my a$$ is puckered tight hoping that I don't encounter one. Good Luck Bobby
