Default RE: remington model 710

I am not a gunsmith or competition shooter, but I can recognize 3/4 inch groups from 100 yds. I shot 3/4 right out of the box with Hornady 150 and 165 grn 30-06. I am planning on elk hunting this next season and if I drop my rifle on the rocks or have to sit in the rain while I stalk a bull, I would rather it be a $350 TACK DRIVER than a $700 tack driver made of wood. I hold no bad feelings towards those that don't like the 710, but look at it for the purpose it was designed for... the lower budget market that will not be taking it to long range shooting competitions. Bottom line it is a tack driver and I don't mind dropping it on the rocks.
