Default RE: remington model 710

Apparently none of the satisfied customers have experienced the quick detach bolt feature... rack bolt to chamber round and you have a rifle in one hand and bolt in the other--that's with the bolt lock locked. Remington has had at least three recalls on this rifle. To put it mildly it is scrap. My shop has sent all of the one's we purchased back to Remington; we will not sell what we consider unsafe firearms. If this isn't happening the first few times it will; the nylon bushing will wear or the pot metal lock/spring will let go.

Any Savage, 110, 111, or 116 package is a better value and a better shooting rifle. They are built for shooting; not the guy that shoots his one box a year.

The reason the Remington's sell is they are cheaply priced and that is what they are;;cheap. Savage's rifles are $20-30 more and are far better any day or night.
