Default RE: remington model 710

The Remington 710 is fantastic! I just got it in .270 caliber and it is a solid tack driver!!! I usually hunt with a Remington LTR .308 but I wanted a lighter rifle for this season and stick to the tactical application with my LTR. I am shooting Winchester Silver Tip/Ballistic Tip 130gr. bullets.

The 710 consistently shot 1" groups at 100yds right out of the box at the range. If I could tune this rifle I would give the bolt action a little less resistance but heck it loosens up folks and feels like a solid seat of bullet in chamber. The awesome trigger feels nice and crisp and the scope is fine for my field expeditions. Yes a Leupold would be nice but show me $400 extra and I will show you this rifle with a nice Leupold on it. Point is, this rifle is meant to be a less expensive work horse and it does it well. VERY WELL.
