RE: "As Long as It's Legal"....Gimme a Break
I find it very surprising that I agree with some of the points here. The rest are your opinion and that is ok to. Some of your opinions are either very strong or miss informed. I don't know how many deer you have taken with a gun, but a muzzleloader and shotgun is not the way to fix the gun season. There are more deer wounded with those two types of weapons than rifles I am sure. Coming from Iowa where they are the only gun choices (besides pistol) I can tell you that there are alot of weekend gun hunters that pick up a shotgun or muzzleloader once a year and go deer hunting. Both weapons need more practice to shoot than a rifle. There has been no state that has went away from rifles because of poaching and accidents. Population has been the reason for use of short range weapons. You can't argue that people take too long of shots with rifles because they do with any weapon. I have seen people take 250 yard shots with shotgun slugs. Accidents are not prevented by taking away a certain kind of weapon in most cases they are stopped with education and practice.
I think my biggest problem with this post (maybe my only problem) is that you are doing what you complain about everyone else doing. Trying to push your opinions on someone else. What is the point? To start an argument? We need those people to go out and hunt to help control the deer population. You constantly belittle other hunters for thier choices. I have typed (if it is legal it is ok) before because it is. You don't have to like it, just live with it.
I guess it comes back to the old saying "you can have an opinion, just know that it may be very different from everyone elses".
