If you need a 10 yard pin then you have a really really slow bow. With any bow newer than 10 years old you should be able to sight the first pin in for 20 yards and find your point of impact at 10 yards is only about 1" high. If you have a bow shooting anywhere near 280fps then you should be able to set the first pin at 25 yards, 2nd pin at 35 yards and so on. Otherwise it's usually 20, 30, 40 yards with gapping for the 5 yard increments.

Now for hunting it's a different story. I set a single pin for 25 yards and leave it at that. It takes care of anything between 5 yards and 30 yards with a mid-body hold. No matter the range, if it's under 30 yards just aim and shoot.
