What did you think they were going to do when you didn't tell them the truth in the first place? You need to be prepared for the consequences of your actions. What is the difference between getting the cash or a replacement bow from them anyway? Keep the money, buy a new bow, and learn from this experience. They probably know it was your fault anyway.
