Default RE: Dumb question about anti-hunters

I think psychologists call it "denial." These folks have double (triple,..) standards. They define "life" in their own minds so therefore they will always be right. It's okay to eat tuna, but not dolphin. It's okay to eat chicken, but not deer. Insects can be killed and so can vegetables because these living organisms - although living - are assigned a lower standard.

Here's a dirty little secret about mother nature - every living organism feeds on another living organism for survival. It is called energy transfer. Every living organism needs energy to survive. Be it a lion eating zebra for its' energy, a plant absorbing nutrients in the soil put there by a decaying rabbit carcus, or a person enjoying the company of others while satiating himself on a bar-b-qued burger. Energy transfer. It's really that simple. This energy is absorbed into living cells for nourishment and growth. Mother nature saw to it that each species can satisfy this need for energy - and it's always at the expense of something else that's living - be it plant or animal.

Energy transfer is but one the many grand designs of nature that we all take part in - yes, even the antis.
