I don't know where you were pigging, but the oinkers here average anywhere from $60 to $80k a year after ot and details with many making well over 100k.
And the reason why so many cops crash en route is because of their holier than thou attitudes.....flying to calls expecting and thinking that everyone sees them, when in fact they don't. You are supposed to respond to calls in a prudent and safe manner, so what does that tell ya?
There are alot of cops responding to calls in an unsafe and reckless manner.
As far as what I did at the department, what do you think I did fool? I dressed in my blues and drove around all day, and unlike you, found VERY few occasions to make arrests. And I definately can look in the mirror. You see, I was Officer good guy and vowed when I took the job NOT to bother folks unless they had done something SERIOUSLY wrong. Maybe that's why I never did fit in......................

And yes i have heard of dept's paying that much but you have look at the cost of living in the area. in the northeast that is not that much money.
Thats why i stay in arkansas . i could go anywhere i wanted and make good money keeping aircraft flying especially corporate jets . I like the lower cost of living here and no i don't want anybody else taking advantage of it.
You were what i referred to as a unmotivated officer(if you were one). a good officer can usually find arrests. now if you work in a gated retirement community that would make it much harder of course.
I tell you what i am not going to go into the workings of a real police officer this thread isnt really about that.
I don't think you are being completely honest about your experiences with the police and how you really developed these feelings. Honestly i don't really care.
But i know for a fact that the MANY fine people i know that wear the uniform and live the life do it with heart. it is more than just a job it's a lifestyle. now some can't live up to the standard and they get busted just like these two deputys. BUT as i have stated before even they learned something ..........they were honest and lived up to thier mistakes!
If you were a "pig" you would know that is MUCH more than the average "good " citizen does !
