If it will put your mind at ease , you can get yourself a pair of cut-proof gloves in case it ever happens.
Any mfg plant or mill (especially the paper industry) will have cut-proof gloves , if you know anyone that might work in that type of place , have them pick you up a pair. Their pretty thin , so they wouldn't be a hinderance to the task at hand.
