Most Cops don't get into law enforcement to serve and protect in my opinion. Most all the cops that I know got into law enforcement for one of two reasons: A- Because it is good money and great benefits and you don't have to do anything to get it, or B- Because they are power hungry and want to pick on people and "show em whose boss".
That crap about putting their life on the line is crap. Statistics prove that. Of the 100 most dangerous Jobs, police work is ranked in the 90's somewhere. The top three most dangerous jobs in the U.S. are Commercial fisherman, convenience store/ gas station clerk, and taxi cab driver.
Get your facts straight.
Next time you buy your gas why don't you thank him intead of waving at the pig in the cruiser, the clerk has a hundred times better chance of getting gunned down tonight than officer Donothing.
