We used to own a couple of plotts that we used for coons. The one was pretty good. the other one, we only had for about a week when he got snake bit, and had to put him down.
In 1970 I went to Franklin NC.,to meet with Mr. Plott., bought 2 pups from him.
One was 8 month old and the other 10 month old. I hunted about 10 years with them.
Mr. Plott bred them for BEAR. If trained right they will hunt Deer .
When they passed on, I started hunting Hogs with Catahoulas crossed with
Rohdesian Ridge Back and Pit Bull for catch dogs.

Started hunting Deer again in 1990 without Dogs cause of leg problems.I now hunt
on Stand.
