me and a bud went out to his pasture and sat on a hill. there was a big slough that was filled with trees and brush. we called for a little while then we noticed way way off in the distence a group of deer that were there when we set up. they were real spooked and took off. about 15 min later i seen a yote on the other side of this slough. but just as i seen him he got closer to it and out of sight but headed right for us. so i kept callin. then after i was about to give up and decided to give a bark or two before we left i see him comin to my side behind the slugh. so i whispered to my bud. he hones in over there and i pull up my 223. he went trhough a fence and i lost him. so i decide to put the call on high and play rabbit distress agin. he poked his head up over this little hill. i seen him and decided he wasnt to agressive and was prob jus gona sit there. so i decided to take a shot. all i had was a head shot. but i missed shot high. then he came runnin into a feild but he wasnt goin full bore so we tryed to see if he would respond to the caller agin. but nothin he kept goin. WOW!!!!!!!!!! i have ezly made 200+ yard shots on gophers with the 223. but i think it was my addrelin. it was pumpin. i absolutly cant wait til tommarow evenin to set up agin.
