nodog forgot the most important feature of a compound bow. Correct drawlength. Short out of a treestand is the least important thing. Gee, I wonder how we ever killed anything with those 48" and 50" bows of yesteryear.
Funny thing about that DL. I haven't really settled on one particular lenght yet. As far as 48"-50" bows, I think that just like the bows, the stands were equally as big. I also think that many of those bows doubled as a spear. When you couldn't hit it with an arrow you just ckucked up a hail mary with the bow
