Just looking to share some tactics and fishing spots from others that fish on the hudson river in the spring time. I fish in the port of albany and down south farther "selkirk area" where the upper I90 bright blue bridge crosses the river. Have great success in theses areas with live herring. This year i plan on fishing with some live eels and farther south by kinderhook at some spots my friends showed me. We kept our boat in Selkirk on the river if i remember correctly for $5-$7 a day. Anyone else know of some good places in the albany area to dock a boat for 6 weeks during the striper run? Anyone have any luck with eels or they waiste of money? Does anyone use 2 spaced out hook rigs for chunking or live bait that have success over using 1 hook with one bait? Anyone ever use single hook rigs with a sliding float on the leader to raise the bait off the bottom? Like i stated above i do very well on the hudson but always up for trying new things.
