How do you all go about asking a landowner for permission to hunt? I have two tracts of private land to hunt on, mostly because I am very lucky. My uncle invited me to hunt on one with him, and a friend asked me to hunt on another with him. Both of these situations evolved into me being able to hunt on both peices of land whenever I wish. The first farm, my uncle and I have permission to treat like we own it. Like I said I'm very lucky.

Thing is though, variety is the spice of life. I'd like to get a few parcels to try out, on my own. I have never had to ask a landowner for permission to hunt on his property, so I don't really know how. I'm very shy around people who I don't know, and HATE to ask anybody for ANYTHING. In fact if I am turned down on the first try, I very well may be so embarassed by it that I don't ask anybody else. Please give me some tips on how to approach these people, and how to ask.
