The 572 Feild master is a pump .
I have 1 from the early 80's
It is not a target rifle ! Just a good hunting or plinking rifle.
If you want a "target " rifle look at a bolt action ,will also be a great plinker
I would look at the Ruger 77/22 I like the K77/22-VBZ
Or the Marlin BA 22's I like the 980v
