Anyone have any suggestions for what would be good to plant in West Alabama and when. I've planted a mix before and it turned out nice but I would like to try a couple different things in different plots to see what was prefered more. Also plot sizes.

I hunt 2 different types of properties. One is riverbottoms and is known to flood about 2 times during the season. Anyone have any suggestions as to what can be planted that may be able to survive being flooded for a few days. The river only floods during late December so maybe if the plots were mature it might survive. Dont really know. Hoping someone has had this problem before. My other land is on high groung so really no problems there.
