Default RE: just startin need help

My suggestion is to find what is most comfortable to you. I say this because with the many variations of calls out there, it is easy to find a couple that are easy enough for a beginner to learn how to use and use effectively. Diaphram calls, to me, are the hardest to master. I personally started off using a push/pull call and I bagged my first bird with it the first day of the spring season. Take the time to ask people what their preferance is and why and compare to your situation for finding the appropriate solution for your calling needs. I learned how to use a diaphram call by just putting it in my mouth and practicing the instructions on the back of the package it came in. It didn't take long with some determination and I was sounding like a pro in no time. Slate calls are something you might want to look into as well. They are not that hard to learn and they give you an added advantage.... volume... especially on those all to familiar windy spring days! Good luck and practice!
