I can't tolerate having wool next to my skin, it's too itchy. I start my layers with polypropelene. If I could afford the wool camo I'd already own it. I do wear wool plaids ice fishing, rifle hunting and working outdoors in the snow and frozen rain and think it's terrific. I have also had very good luck machine washing it on the gentle cycle with scent eliminator soaps and hanging it up to dry, without it shrinking.
