check with your local ag agent. It sounds like the conditions could be right. If there's not much snow and you are getting the honeycomb effect in the soil - go for it. If the ground is still frozen and it is just getting warm in daywith no effect on the soil - it's not the right time. Don't worry about future weather (ie - cold). All you are doing is trying to get the seed in good contact with the soil. It won't germinate until the soil warms enough and weather breaks.
