RE: Advice for a recurve
i'd start with a martin x-200 or a quality used bear. start low to build your form, then work up to what you can handle for hunting. the difference 5lbs can make is ALOT when it comes to flinging 100 arrows an hour!
you can get alot of used bow for 100-200 bucks, then when your ready have a sweet one built to the specs you want

ps . i used to shoot a 30" 50-65 lb pull compound(depending on conditions), with a recurve i'm only 50lbs @28" ...can pull alot more but practice isnt as much fun!
