I take it you do not have much use for Pyrodex... Pyrodex used to be all I would use for a long time. That was because Black Powder got so hard to find. Then came Triple Se7en which again, I used and some rifles like it, especially my inlines. Just as some rifles like Pyrodex and some hate the stuff. I am now a Goex person almost all the time. I can say I never had a hard time getting Pyrodex to fire. I have never used the pellets, but the loose always shot fine. I just never seen that much advantage of Pyrodex over Goex.

I do have one little .50 caliber that just loves Pyrodex. It will outshoot all other powders in that rifle.
