RE: Mouth call secrets
Great reply S&R!!A few things to add...understand a proper fit to your mouthcall to the roof of your mouth"palate"is absolutely neccassary in being able to produce a quality sound from any given mouth call!It Must remain stationary and no to an absolute minumim of air must not be going around or over the top of your call when working it!If the call is not stationary on the roof of your mouth air will probably get around your call instead of passing through the sound chamber which is the middle of your tongue and reeds of the call, not between your palate and call! Some calls take a few sessions to break-in and start to feel comfortable in your mouth! Finally, you will find the amount of tongue pressure you put on the call the higher the pitch! Most new users apply to much pressure and huff to much air at first to make-up for an unproper fit to the contours of ones palate!A good seal with the right size frame to the contours of ones palate and you will find that the sound will be much easier to make with less tongue pressure and less air having to be applied!!Hope it helps.....Bob
