I've always touched it off on the waddles centered in the middle of the neck!Your pattern comes out of your gun in somewhat of a cone effect and to aim directly at the head you end up cutting your pattern in half sending it over the top of the birds head!This helps in maximizing your pattern!Take a look at Struts post on "10gaBPS,pattern,very pleased', and analyze the Primos turkey target Strut uses!That to me is the coorect point of aim simply for the reason mentioned.
