I checked out that web site oldelk, and he does have his setup done to perfection! He is proclaiming runout to be in the .00001! I would love to spend a day with him just to watch it work!!! I guess the lathes and chucks I work with are just plain not capable of keeping runout to such a tolerence on a piecs of stock that is 22-26" long.

p.s. I thought that blue benchrest gun he did was UGLY!!! But a piece of art to say the least!!
