I have a .30-06, a .25-06, a .243, and various other firearms. Thus far I have only hunted whitetail deer and pronghorn antelope, and have not used the .30-06 on these species. I'm hoping to go on a cow elk hunt in 2006 and plan to use the .30-06 for this hunt.

My .30-06 is a sportsterized Springfield. My father inletted, shaped, and finished the walnut wood stock from a "stock blank." I have a Leupold VariX-III 3.5-10x 40 mm scope on it.
