Default RE: Sights you have seen while hunting...

The 3 most memoral things I have seen and experienced since the opener of Dove and Grouse season on September 1st. here in Washington was:
#1) Dez Young and his dogs Hank and Dash!
I even got a real HUG from Dez which happends to be the nicest person you'll ever meet in the upland bird hunting scene! He visited Cooke Canyon Hunt Club on Tuesday the 17th of Sept. to do an episode with "Hank" and his pup "Dash" up in the hills out the Kittitas Valley on 5000 acers of club grounds. The show will air sometime in January 2003 and will be about a hunt for Chukar Partidge, Pheasants and Bobwhite Quail.
#2) Like Cliff N Dee mentioned in an earlier post about truck hunting bow hunters, I was hunting Grouse in the Nanuam unit (328) and every bow hunter we saw out after Early Archery Elk were sitting in canvas chairs riding in the back of Pickup trucks as the designated driver drove the logging roads! My bird hunting partner had to comment on how they were fully dressed up in Camo outfits while riding in the back of these trucks too! Ha Ha Ha! It really ceses to amaze me on how damn lazy these so-called hunters are and what lenghts they are not willing to go just to find an honest Elk! We had been pounding the brush all day with tthe pointing dog after Grouse and seen more Elk sign IN THE WOODS that hot day than they had ever seen in a lifetime in the easy chair!
#3)I saw a Wild Turkey and a Mule Deer doe up off the road while traveling to a Grouse spot that were bedded down right near each other. This was a unique sight indeed and got it on video.
I am always thrilled to see nature at its best and relish every moment of what I encounter.
