In the California desert I've looked down into a verticle mine shaft and seen the end of a pick up truck. I couldn't get close enough to the edge to see details, I don't know if the truck is resting on the bottom of the shaft or if it's lodged part way down.

In another part of the desert there is the wreck of a civilian twin engine plane. All the instruments and engines are gone from it. It's on a hillside approaching an old army emergency airfield so I don't know if it was trying to make a landing and hit the hill top or what.

Just about every time I go into the bushes I find balloons. All those balloons that get released at sporting events and weddings and stuff have to somewhere. I don't think people realize they're just throwing their trash into the sky for it to come down later... kind of a sore spot for me since I find so many.
