I tried it. Worked OK for me. Tried some Hoppes behind it and some Butches and they didin't get any more copper out. I did do two applications before I swabbed it out and let it sit for about 10 minutes each time.
it would have worked better then just "OK" if you followed the instructions and let the stuff set in the barrel for a full half hour like the instructions say to do........
The barrel of my M700 in 308 had so much copper fouling you could see it just looking down the bore looked like a copper lined barrel, one session with that outers foam and every bit of the copper is gone. but I do almost wonder if me using kroil to clean the bore after using the foam had anything to do with my awesome results.
