Default RE: how to kill any and all deer

Since we're speaking of cars and deer, (not you Cardeer, LOL), I should mention... DMV stats show the average alert w/m driver at age 25 has a perception / reaction time of 1.5 seconds. Lets look at 55 mph.

What's that mean? This means if a situation occurs while your driving at 55 mph, you will have traveled approximately 120.94 feet before you take evasive action. Braking or steering... 1.5 seconds has elapsed to take action.

If you choose to stop, add time for the vehicle brakes to begin to decel the moving mass of the unit. With braking, factor in weight of the occupants, load, wet weight of the auto, and time for brake components to begin the squeeze on rotors and drums. We add distance. Add drag coefficeint, (how smooth / rough) the road surface and super-elevation of the roadway and we may have more distance required to stop. Sure it's slow for a bow, and 55 mph may not seem fast in a vehicle, but it really is.

Ok, I know it's off topic... just thought some may find it interesting. [8D]
