If I were you I would probably check out the Sangre de Cristo wilderness. Big bucks and good elk hunting if you aren't afraid of getting away from the roads. Did some preliminary research that made me interested in the area to the south and west of Cotopaxi for elk. Some big bucks in the timberline basins in Archery season too. Good luck.
