My advice is that you should shoot a fixed position head since any and all mechanicals have one thing in common that they can't get around: they all lose energy at impact more than any other broadhead. Now, that being said, if you shoot a weapon that generates tons of kinetic energy, then you may have a good set-up for shooting mechanicals. I don't know what is the proper amount of kinetic energy, but I found out the hard way. A light lb pull bow and a mechanical broadhead are a bad bad combination. I've shot both mechs and fixed and I will always and forevere more shoot a 100 grn Thunderhead or a 100 grn Muzzy. Right now, I'm sold on the Thunderheads.
