RE: Videos/Mentor
I did/do this professionally and I started with an internship while in college. I owe a lot to my time producing hunting and fishing television shows. I have moved into the advertising industry but I still produce hunting and fishing segments for various programs. My recommendation is do it, but to be realistic about it. Do not expect to get rich. You can make a modest living, but you have about a 1% chance to make a lot of money.
I would recommend getting tied in with another producer and tag team, or hook up with a manufacturer who wants to be involved on a promotional/distribution level and go from there. That way you share the cost burden.
Good luck.
