There are a thousand scopes out there an a thousand personal preferences... information I have read from other people has indicated the ATEC to be a good scope. Certainly in my mind there are better but certainly there are worse. I would say you will need to mount it, shoot it, and see what you think. Eye relief is a big concern for a lot of people - so might want to check that. I think the standard is 3.5/4" but again that is something you will have to try... As much as I have shot and as much as I shoot eye relief is not a major concern - mainly because recoil is not a concern... I shoot 100 grains of loose T7 with 110 being my max and recoil is not a problem...

My gut feeling is it will perform for you.

One thing that I have done with my ML's - I am working to move all of them to a MIL_DOT reticle - but I just bought two Bushnell 3200's so I sna not replace them any time soon.
