One thing I might point out...the hood of your truck isn't really stable most of the time, I always feel like I'm slipping off unless I shoot straight across the hood....I told you that to tell you this...Back in high school, I had a small starburst crack in my ford's windshield from a rock thrown by a semi, about the size of a dime, right at the top of the windshield near the center....I fired my .30-06 straight across the hood to sight in my rifle, the windshield absolutely SHATTERED....

Since then, I set a rest on the edge of the bed and sit down in the bed on a pad to sight in if I don't have an appropriate rest, no more shooting off the hood!!!
