Default RE: high racks ingredients

No thats not what I said. Deer are in need of quality nutrition all year long. However, the spring and early summer are the most important for antler growth. Early winter and spring/summer for and fawn/fetus development. If a product is not available during the critical months usually the animal will not be able to reach it's genetic potential. The fall plantings will assist with some fat put on the animal, but not a lot. Usually the animal has it's winter layer by late September. This is not to say that fall planting have no merit... Anything is better than nothing. We suggest that first time planters plant in the fall because the weather is usually cooler and more forgiving and success is important to someone new to planting. Therre are many quality products on he market for deer nutrition. The important thing is to know how deer work and what is needed to assist them in their nutritional needs, the only area, besides culling, that is practical/economical to really manipulate the herd. There is a lot of great information on the various boards. Don't stop learing and asking questions. The only dumb question is the question not asked....
