Farm animals are not, and never were considered pets! Yes, there are a few people that have farm animals as pets, but most fam animals are raised for meat, eggs, or fur! There is a huge difference between eating a farm animal and the family pet!
Also, if you had land, with a 20ft. fence around it, I'm sure no one would consider you to be poor enough to justify poaching! BTW, here in Texas, you can have a 30ft. high fence if you want to, but you still can't shoot the Whitetail deer, or other native game species out of season!
Also, you people that are going on about poaching being justifyable, you can keep saying it over and over, but it still will not make it right! Poaching is stealing, and if you poach you will steal other things too!
If you can't kill enough game animals "in season," enough other non-game animals, and fish, the rest of the year to feed your family, then you probably need to become a vegetarian, because your going to starve anyway!
