I use a square cube target I bought for wally world for around $30, it has two field point sides and two boradhead sides. I've been shooting on a single fieldtip side for hundreds of shots now with no problems.

Like B-Techrapture has stated, I've also heard that bag targets are the best thing going for fieldtips. And for broadheads, I've heard many, many people reccomend the yellow jacket.
