i barely call at all.....if i know he's coming , i'll call if i have too, quietly just in case he's close, if no response, then i might kick it up a hair.....i'm a sucker for clucking and purrin'.....yelps occassionally...in the morning i might do a tree yelp and/or flydown sound, then i quiet down for the most part, calling every 20 minutes or so, longer sometimes, the biggest mistake is overcalling and having no patience...
if i have hens talkin' to me, i'll talk right back, trying to make every sound they make....like he said, every hunt is different, you'll get to know when, how much, all that good stuff with experience.....every moment hunting is a learnin' lesson....
