Again, great information. Would you mind posting the raw data from the original draw curve or replot showing data points. Looks like you are using Excel scatter with no data points and smoothing. Also, in your original post you quoted 304 ft/sec but I'd really like to know if that's your measurement or Bowtech's.
Thanks!
Sylvan, I can post the raw data here or I could just send you the entire Excel spreadsheet. Leave me your email if that's what you want me to do. And thanks for the formula to calculate arrow speed, I will plug her into a spreadsheet, although I do not plan on shooting it at the full 70 lbs., I used that number because of the IBO speed standard, will probably shoot 63 to 64 lbs.
Also, the birth certificate that came from BowTech's factory testing listed 299 FPS at 27 1/2" DL, brass nock, string and cable silencers, 70 lbs, 350 grain arrow. When creating the graph I had the DL set at 27 3/4" which will add a few FPS and I added a couple more to simulate speeds without the string and cable silencers since efficiency testing usually is done with a bare string. I did not shoot it through a chrono but feel confident that my 304 estimate is within 1 FPS and more than likely on the low side since they say to figure "5 to 7 fps" for the brass nock and silencers.
