Boots ;my blood trail dog that has found in excess of 100 deer,passed away yeaterday. he was 14.

I have had people from all around call for help. boots never failed them; if the deer was dead , boots found him.if a deer was leaking , he would stay on him till he layed down,no matter how long it took.

he found three this year.one for me,two for others.
I would judt put a weedeater string on his collor and let him go,I would follow off to the side and look for the deer ahead of him.

my other two dogs are about the same age,so they will be gone befor long. I gotta get me a pup to train,although I do have bugger,he will trail a little now,(bugger is 1/2 jackrussel and 1/2 min,snousser.only 6 mos. old.I think he will be good in another year.

sorry to ramble,just gonna miss boots a lot.[&o]
