RE: Face the tree or Face away
I always faced away from the tree until I bought a couple of Gunslingers. With these climbers you face the tree.I was hesitant until I tried it. Facing the tree gives you allot better cover. With the GS's you're not right on the tree. You can still see around most of the tree. The tree gives you a good rest.I can stand and turn around in a few seconds and use the back of the seat for a rest. After getting use to facing the tree I doubt if I'll ever face away again unless I'm on a ladder stand or one of those pieces of junk Treelounges I still have.Facing the tree has sold me.I haven't bow hunted for a long time. For bow hunting facing the tree would have a disadvantage. For gun hunting it's hard to beat.
