RE: kimber vs. remington
I have looked at the Montana but don not own one. Both of mine are the Classic, in .308 and .270 WSM, neither kick enough to bother me. Not sure who tested the rifle in the articles but both of mine from a bench vise, using a trigger actuiator will fire under 3/8" FIVE shot groups. Now if you , me and five other people sit behind those same rifles, we will get three different results, I wish some of these so called "gun writer and testers" would learn that. From a solid base and having no chance of trigger pull effecting the shot, and lack of wind and similar weather conditions we are on an equil playing field. For example I have tested several Winchester Coyote's, a few Remington Taticals that will fire the same 3/8" group at 100 yards but only with three shots, five shots spread out like butter to about 1/2 to 3/4" with almost any factory rifle, I can speak for two Kimbers that do not.
