I guess I just don't care how old a deer is before I shoot him. I make the decision usually based on body size. I could care less how old he is or how many points he has.
Depends on where you hunt. If you hunt a private ranch where management is dome properly, the first time you drag in a three year old 135 ten who COULD be a 15012 or better the next year, you will be asked/TOLD to leave and never, ever, come back.
