Before I started reloading a few years ago, I always had good luck with Federal Premium ammo. Try the ones loaded with 160 gr. Nosler Partitions.
this shot well in my ruger model 77, i also shot a hornady load with a 154gr. bullet that shot very well. hornady with 139gr. shot the worst, but all rifles are indvidual so it will take some range time. my reloads shot best though

Just because your 7mm Mag. will reach out far - doesn't mean that you should try to shoot animals at long range. Stay within the parameters of distance in which you are FULLY competent to shoot. When I hunted Elk (also with a 7mm Mag.) I ALWAYS kept the range to 300 yds or less (preferably LESS).
