I am relatively new to turkey hunting so last year I joined the NWTF and attended the banquet for our local chapter. In the past year I have not received one thing from the local chapter; not a meeting notice; no events what so ever.

Their annual banquet, and seemingly the only event they have, appeared to be nothing more than the good-ole-boy network getting together to see who could drink the most. I was and still am truly disapointed in our local chapter. I was hoping to to become part of a group of turkey hunters who got together on a regular basis and talked turkey hunting.

I wanted to tap into a wealth of information that can only be gained by talking with older more experienced hunters. Unfortunatly the only thing our local chapter has to be tapped is a keg.
