Well, sounds like you are on the right track...

Recently I upgraded to a new bow and found a 2004 Mighty Mite, and I absolutely love it. It's very quiet, fast and compact. However, for you with a 28.5 inch draw and the fact that you are talking about shooting some 3d, the Patriot might be a better choice, due to a longer axle to axle.

I was able to get my 04 Mighty mite for 435. Good luck in your search and keep us posted!
