because the TC was accurate enough for me, and the handi rifle wasn't. also the handi rifles fore arm is cheaper to replace if I messed it up. the way I floated the barrel was glued some 220 grit sand paper to a piece of closet rod set it in my wood lathe and sanded out the channel in the forarm, then used rubber washers as a spacer for where the forearm screw went into the barrel.
